Joy McAllen Duggan is a stained glass artist from Cork. She studied Fine Art at the Crawford College of Art and Design, Cork, and has completed ecclesiastical, commercial and residential commissions across the country. St.Gobnaits Church , Dún Chaoin Co.Kerry and Saleen Church, Middleton Co.Cork are two examples of her colourful and decorative church panels. All panels can be encased in toughened double or triple glazed units.
She has been awarded The Individual Artist Bursary award, Cork city council 2020, Ballinglen Arts Foundation Residency Bursary 2017 and The Cill Rialaig Residency award, Co.Kerry 2017. In 2021 she was selected to be on the Cork County Council 2020-2024 Public Art Panel.

In recent years, since 2017, she began painting in oils. Drawing on her experience as a stained-glass artist, her paintings reflect similar elements in terms of attention to detail and form. The use of light is of paramount importance in creating contrast, weight and form to the painting. Currently her subject matter is mainly landscape, both representational and abstract. Figurative work, and the exploration of her own personal style is also of importance as she develops this medium within her art practice.
